Meet chanel

I’m Chanel, founder and principal designer of Studio Miles, a Charleston-based interior design studio shaped by a lifelong love of architecture, travel, photography, and the art of home.

My path into design began through years of renovating homes alongside my husband, where I discovered just how deeply thoughtful spaces can influence the way we live and feel. In 2023, after the loss of our son Miles, that understanding became even more meaningful. Studio Miles carries his name and a belief that continues to guide my work today: that the spaces we inhabit should be beautiful, intentional, and filled with life.

Today, I bring that perspective to every project, creating refined interiors inspired by European architecture, Mediterranean warmth, and Charleston’s coastal character. My approach is personal and considered, balancing timeless design with the individuality of the people and places behind each space.

ABOUT STUDIO MILES

Studio Miles Design is a Charleston-based interior design studio creating thoughtfully layered residential and boutique commercial spaces with a distinct European and Mediterranean point of view.

From new construction and renovations to furnishing, hospitality, retail, and experience-driven spaces, each project is approached as a collaboration. We consider the architecture, surroundings, and the way a space needs to function, then bring those elements together through natural materials, collected details, warm palettes, and timeless finishes.

The result is design that feels refined without feeling precious, distinctive without feeling overdone, and deeply connected to the people who experience it. Interiors designed not simply to be admired, but to be lived in, gathered in, and remembered.
