I’m Chanel, founder and principal designer of Studio Miles, mom of three, and someone who has always been drawn to the things that make life beautiful—photography, real estate, and the art of home design.
My love for design began through the many renovations my husband and I have taken on over the years—transforming blank canvas houses into warm, inviting homes. But in 2023, after the heartbreaking loss of our son, Miles, my perspective shifted. That season of grief reshaped my view of what truly matters: creating spaces that bring joy, comfort, and connection.
During that time, I stepped away from my HR career and pursued formal interior design training. What started as a creative outlet soon became a calling—first through helping friends and family with their spaces, and later through designing our own Charleston home. Studio Miles was born from that journey, carrying both my son’s name and the belief that a home should be timeless, intentional, and filled with life.
