A COASTAL guest Bedroom
THE STORY BEHIND THE SPACE
“The wallpaper gives the room its personality; the natural textures make it feel easy to settle into.”
THE DESIGN DIRECTION
An expansive blue-and-white botanical wallpaper sets the direction for this coastal guest bedroom, bringing pattern and movement to the wall behind the bed. Its leafy forms are balanced by the rounded silhouette of a woven headboard, whose natural texture introduces warmth against the cool palette. White bedding provides a restful foundation, layered with blue pillows, a patterned bolster, and a fringed throw. Dark bedside tables give the composition definition, while a sculptural white pendant adds an unexpected contemporary shape overhead. The room brings together familiar coastal materials with a more expressive use of pattern, allowing the wallpaper to lead while the surrounding furnishings remain simple. The effect is welcoming and light, with enough contrast to give the space a distinct identity.
