spanish-inspired kids bathroom
THE STORY BEHIND THE SPACE
This Spanish-inspired guest bathroom reflects the Studio Miles ethos of timeless, organic design with Mediterranean warmth.
“For a children’s bathroom, I wanted the sense of play to come through color and pattern, with materials they could enjoy for years.”
THE DESIGN DIRECTION
Earthy terracotta, rich green tile, and natural wood give this children’s bathroom a palette with lasting appeal. Drawing on Spanish interiors, the design introduces pattern through the materials themselves. Terracotta hexagonal floor tiles establish a warm foundation, while handcrafted green shower tiles bring depth through their variations in color and surface. Along the vanity wall, decorative tiles reference traditional Spanish motifs, adding a more intricate pattern against the simpler forms around them. A natural wood vanity connects the earthy tones and gives the room a sense of warmth. The combination feels lively enough for children while offering a design that can evolve with them, with its personality rooted in the enduring appeal of color, texture, and craftsmanship.
